Eligibility Criteria

Selection Process
The selection process for the UP Home Guard Recruitment 2025 is multi-staged, designed to assess the suitability of candidates for the role:
- Written Examination: A 100-mark general knowledge test is the first stage.
- Physical Efficiency Test (PET) & Physical Standard Test (PST): Candidates who clear the written exam must meet specified physical standards:
- Male Candidates:
- Height: Minimum 168 cm (UR/OBC/SC); 160 cm (ST)
- Chest: 79-84 cm (UR/OBC/SC); 77-82 cm (ST)
- Running: 4.8 km in 28 minutes
- Female Candidates:
- Height: Minimum 152 cm
- Weight: Minimum 40 kg
- Running: 2.4 km in 16 minutes
- Male Candidates:
- Document Verification: Successful candidates will have their original documents verified.
- Medical Examination: A final medical check-up to ensure fitness for duty.
Additional weightage (extra marks) may be given to candidates possessing specific certifications, such as NCC certificates, Bharat Scout and Guide certificates, or a valid driving license.
