Candidates interested in the UP Home Guard Bharti 2025 must adhere to the following schedule:

Eligibility Criteria

To be considered for the Home Guard positions, candidates must fulfil specific eligibility requirements:

  • Educational Qualification: Applicants must have passed the Class 10 (High School) examination or an equivalent qualification from a recognised board in India.
  • Age Limit (as on July 1, 2025):
    • Minimum Age: 18 years
    • Maximum Age: 30 years (age relaxations apply to reserved categories such as SC/ST/OBC as per government norms).
  • Nationality: Only Indian citizens who are domiciled in the region from which they apply are eligible.
  • Health and Records: Candidates must be medically fit and have no criminal record.

Vacancy Details

The application fees vary by category and can be paid online via credit card, debit card, or net banking:

  • General/EWS/OBC: ₹400/-
  • SC/ST/Female: ₹300/-

Selection Process

The selection process for the UP Home Guard Recruitment 2025 is multi-staged, designed to assess the suitability of candidates for the role:

  1. Written Examination: A 100-mark general knowledge test is the first stage.
  2. Physical Efficiency Test (PET) & Physical Standard Test (PST): Candidates who clear the written exam must meet specified physical standards:
    • Male Candidates:
      • Height: Minimum 168 cm (UR/OBC/SC); 160 cm (ST)
      • Chest: 79-84 cm (UR/OBC/SC); 77-82 cm (ST)
      • Running: 4.8 km in 28 minutes
    • Female Candidates:
      • Height: Minimum 152 cm
      • Weight: Minimum 40 kg
      • Running: 2.4 km in 16 minutes
  3. Document Verification: Successful candidates will have their original documents verified.
  4. Medical Examination: A final medical check-up to ensure fitness for duty.

Additional weightage (extra marks) may be given to candidates possessing specific certifications, such as NCC certificates, Bharat Scout and Guide certificates, or a valid driving license.
