Vacancy Details for 2026
A total of 5,500 vacancies are available, including positions for Male Constable (General Duty), Female Constable (General Duty), and Male Constable (Government Railway Police – GRP).
Eligibility Criteria
Candidates must be 10+2 qualified from a recognized board, have studied Hindi or Sanskrit at the matriculation level or higher, and have qualified the HSSC CET for Group C. The age limit is 18 to 25 years as of January 1, 2026, with a 5-year relaxation for SC, BC, and EWS categories.
Physical Standards (PMT & PST)
Candidates must meet specific physical standards in the Physical Measurement Test (PMT) and clear the Physical Screening Test (PST). The PMT requires specific heights and chest measurements based on category. The PST involves a running test with different distances and time limits for male, female, and ex-servicemen candidates.
Selection Process 2026
The selection process includes CET shortlisting, PMT, PST, a Knowledge Test (written exam), and consideration for NCC certificate marks. The Knowledge Test holds the highest weightage at 97%. Final selection is subject to document verification and a medical examination.
Exam Pattern and Syllabus
The Knowledge Test is an offline OMR exam with 100 objective questions totaling 97 marks. It covers General Topics, Computer Knowledge, and Haryana Knowledge. There is no negative marking, but marks will be deducted if no option is marked for a question.
